The Whale Eater Mockumentary

This photo composite was created for GCU's DDN-115: Raster and Vector Technologies course. The goal of the project was to combine pictures of whales, a truck, and a coral reef into a believable underwater scene.

Not your usual nature documentary..
I made this using a combination of layer masks, photo filters, and Gaussian blur and motion filters. The bubbles were created using a splatter brush at different sizes and opacities. To make the truck look older and more beat up, I used the burn tool to darken some areas on the truck's exterior. I used the spot healing brush and burn tools to remove some of the original reflections from the metal on the truck that might break the viewer's immersion in this underwater scene.
While I am happy with the way this turned out, if there's something I could have done differently with it, I would have tried finding ways to make the truck blend in better with the rest of the scene.
Thanks for viewing!
